Welcome to St. Angela Sengera Girls High School

St. Angela Sengera Girls High School was started in 1966 by the Catholic Diocese of Kisii as a daughter school to parish which was then harambee school owned by the Catholic diocese of Kisii.  Fr. John Oseko was both the Principal and Chairman of Board of Governors.  The church constructed four class rooms, laboratory and boarding sections for girls.  The management of the school changed to the Government in 1971 and thus registered as Sengera Government High School.  The school offered both Arts and Science at O-level and A-level.  The school changed its name to St. Angela Sengera Girls High School in 2008.  The infrastructure of the school has so far been improved significantly by various sponsors.  For instance, 1986, Government of the United Kingdom built two laboratories.  The parents constructed the dining hall, dormitory and staffrooms.  In 2010, the Government through ECONOMIC STIMULUS programme made St. Angela Sengera Girls a CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE by constructing tuition facilities i.e. library, class rooms, laboratories and administration offices.
